2010 Interfaith Food Drive
It is hard to believe but 2010 will mark the 5th annual Interfaith Food Drive.
This year we are hoping to partner with at least 75 congregations across Marion and Polk counties with a goal of collecting 40,000 pounds of most needed foods. This year’s food drive is scheduled to run from September 22, 2010 through October 23, 2010.
Community food drives such as the Interfaith Food Drive provide nutritious food and vital operating funds for Marion-Polk Food Share while raising hunger awareness in our community. Food drives provide some of the healthiest and highest-quality food Marion-Polk Food Share receives and we are very grateful for all the community members who participate in this drive.
Participating in this food drive is really easy. All you need to do is visit
www.interfaithfooddrive.org From there, be sure to visit the Food Drive Resources page to get a head start on planning how your congregation can make a difference with this year’s food drive. After that, all that’s required is to stay tuned for further updates and food drive information.
