In addition, our food donors are protected through the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act, also known as the Good Samaritan law, signed on October 1, 1996 by President Bill Clinton. The act protects donors from civil and criminal liability if product donated in good faith later cause harm to the food box recipient.
