“You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give.”
      --Winston Churchill

Joining the fight to end hunger is easy.

Just review the variety of volunteer opportunities on this website and complete our application request form or contact our Community Partnerships coordinator, Kat Daniel, at (503) 581-3855 ext. 311 to have a volunteer application mailed to you. Please note any specific requirements for jobs listed. Volunteers under age 16 or with special needs must have an adult supervisor.

You will be contacted for an interview when we find the best fit for your availability and interests. Once we are able to add you to our roster, you’ll be invited to attend our New Volunteer Orientation, held the second Thursday of each month over the noon hour here at Marion-Polk Food Share. We’ll schedule you for any training required and get you started as soon as we can!

If you would like to schedule a group activity, we can generally host a maximum of 18-20 volunteers at one time, subject to project type and availability. Larger groups can be accommodated with special planning. Please contact Kat at least three weeks prior to your desired service date. Community Apple Corps Members have first priority for scheduling and evening or weekend projects are often limited, especially during the winter holidays. If we can’t accommodate you at your desired time, we may also suggest projects for your group that can be done off-site, such as running a food drive or planning a fundraising activity. We are happy to work with you to provide the resources you need to run a successful group project for Marion-Polk Food Share.
