Marion County Environmental Services
Marion-Polk Food Share obtains compost from Marion County Environmental Services, and manure from farms via the Marion County Soil and Water Conservation District. The manure is free, and the compost costs $5/cubic yard, or $20/cubic yard delivered. If your garden has a truck and the resources to obtain compost or manure on your own, I encourage you to do so. If you are in need of delivery or funds to obtain compost, please feel free to contact us for assistance. Compost assistance provided on a case by case basis, and as funds are available.
