Emergency Food Box Program
You and your family are hungry. Your community can help you through rough times.
Marion-Polk Food Share’s Emergency Food Box program feeds hungry individuals and families on an urgent-need basis. We provide healthy food to alleviate hunger throughout Marion & Polk County through:
• Direct distribution through neighborhood pantries
• Direct distribution through a mobile pantry located at high need elementary schools
• Opening our warehouse to agencies to cooler shop for fresh produce and dairy products
Marion–Polk Food Share partners with a network of over 97 member direct-service charities
to provide food through food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, afterschool care programs and senior housing units.
Emergency Food Box Program:
The Emergency Food Box Program provides a 3-5 days emergency food supply to families and individuals in crisis.
Congregate Meal Site Program:
The Congregate Meal Site Program provides food to needy homeless persons on a regular basis as an integral part of their normal activities. This includes dining halls serving free meals, shelters for foster care children, run-away children, and/or homeless families and individuals.
