Hoedown to benefit MPFS

If you like country music and you want to help feed hungry neighbors, you’ll want to check out the BobbiLynn Forbus “Hoedown for Humanity” that’s set for 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4.

For a bagful of nonperishable food per person, attendees will enjoy performances by BobbiLynn Forbus, Goldfire Band, Johnnies Country, Cowboy Cadillac, Joe Mendonca, The Nu Tones, Cowboy Dennis, Tall Tale Excursion, and Caleb Ray. For event information, call 503-302-3884.

The 1st annual winter concert and dance to benefit Marion-Polk Food Share will be held at Salem Elks Lodge BPOE #336, 2336 Turner Road SE, Salem. The event is open to the public. Minors are welcome but must leave by 9 p.m.

Food is available for $10 from 5 to 8 p.m. with a reservation made by calling 503-364-6839.
