Thanks to the generosity of several local farmers, Marion-Polk Food Share will be the recipient of 312,444 pounds of canned green beans that should last nearly a year, said Rick Gaupo, chief operating officer.

The first delivery arrived last week and other shipments will be phased in over time. The donation was made through  Farmers Ending Hunger with our local Norpac Foods providing substantially discounted processing and the donation of cans by Silgan Containers in Woodland Hills, Calif. https://www.silgancontainers.com
