Gardeners: Bring Seeds, Share Seeds, Receive Seeds
We are hosting the 8th Annual Seed Exchange on Saturday, March 3rd. Gather up extra seeds and join us between 10AM and 12PM at our Food Share headquarters- 1660 Salem Industrial Drive in NE Salem. A free event, we guarantee that everyone will take home seeds!
“Local gardeners and seed savers are encouraged to bring seeds to share. Any seed saved from backyard gardens or seed packets dated 2015 or newer are welcome. Seeds that have been stored in the freezer are good for decades, ” said Jared Hibbard-Swanson, Youth Farm Manager.
There will be plenty to go around on a first-come, first-served basis. Squash seeds are particularly abundant this year, but there will be seeds of many different fruit and vegetable varieties.
