If you or someone you know is between the ages of 13 and 18 years old and interested in learning how to grow food, this FREE training course is a great opportunity! Participants will be taught how to sustainably grow delicious produce like strawberries, melons, sweet peppers, hot peppers, tomatoes, carrots and more.
All students will learn basic gardening skills plus have a chance to design and manage their own garden plot on the farm. Over the course of this short training program, teens will develop methods to solve garden challenges in a sustainable manner, be introduced to commonly used farm tools and learn to communicate as a leader on a team.
For those interested in joining the Youth Farm’s summer program, this is the first step in the process!
