The Iskam MǝkʰMǝk-Haws is the food pantry serving the Grand Ronde community. Iskam MǝkʰMǝk-Haws, or the “house where you get food” in Chinuk-Wawa, was formed in partnership with Marion-Polk Food Share and the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde to meet emergency food needs in the community.
Iskam MǝkʰMǝk-Haws is a gathering place focused equally on food and community building. There are regular classes for community members teaching about gardening, cooking, and food preservation.
Food distribution is the first, third, and fifth Fridays of the month, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; the second Saturday of the month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and the 4th Wednesday of the month, from 2 to 6 p.m.
A printable calendar of the month’s activities is in the side bar.
Volunteers are welcome at Iskam MǝkʰMǝk-Haws. Please contact Francene Ambrose at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to volunteer.
